Sony's CineAlta Venice is a full frame camera featuring Sony's brand new 36x24mm sensor. The camera boasts the world's first 8-step built-in mechanical ND, offers dual base ISO and 15+ stops of dynamic range, and has a completely redesigned ventilation system and dust-resistant body. It also features a new color science that creates a soft tonal film look with natural shadows and mid-tones while still preserving highlights. With a menu and workflow similar to the Panasonic Varicam and ARRI Alexa, the Venice is user-friendly and easily modifiable.

We also offer the Rialto, which is Sony's extension system for the Venice and can be added to our Venice package. It allows the sensor block on the camera to be removed from the body and instead tethered via a 9' or 18' umbilical cord. This allows for a lighter-weight configuration ideal for hand-held situtations, while the camera body itself can just be backpacked or carried behind the operator.
